Daphne Millbrook es una ladrona que fue reclutada por la Compañía Pinehearst. Ella es una humana evolucionada con la habilidad de viajar a velocidades supersónicas.
Historia del Personaje
Novela gráfica:Nuestra Señora de la Santísima Aceleración, Parte 1
Daphne Millbrook utiliza su habilidad para correr muy, muy rápido para robar en tiendas. Se va corriendo con unas gafas de sol y un par de zapatos. Luego de robar una crêpe, Daphne conoce a Samir Mellouk, su empleado, en su tienda. Daphne roba artículos de museos y Samir los revende a sus países originales.
Luego de completar un trabajo rápidamente y de regresar a la tienda de Samir Mellouk, Daphne se dirige al Louvre. Cuando llega, ella quiere robar la Mona Lisa y pide la ayuda de Samir. Daphne corre hacia la Mona Lisa tan rápido que nadie puede verlos y Samir usa su habilidad de traspasar para tomar la verdadera pintura y remplazarla con una réplica. Luego, Daphne se va mientras Samir camina a casa.
Unos días mas tarde, Daphne regresa a la casa de Samir y ve que el se ha ido. Un pelado de gafas se encuentra con ella allí y le dice que Samir siempre trabajó para su grupo. A cambio de mantener su nombre en secreto, el le ofrece a Daphne un empleo en Japón y le entrega una carpeta que contiene una foto de Kaito Nakamura.

Daphne corre a travez de un muelle de yates y pasa al lado de un guardia de seguridad sin que este la note. Luego de eso, ella irrumpe en el container de embarcadero de Kaito Nakamura y roba un prototipo militar. Luego de oir ciertos ruidos, ella se va del yate.
Daphne, luego, va a Tokyo y se encuentra con Yoji Hayata, un ejecutivo de alto rango de Industrias Yamagato quien ha estado robando los secretos de la compañía japonesa. Daphne ofrece el prototipo que robó a cambio de información sobre cómo acceder a la caja fuerte de Kaito Nakamura. Yoji, enfurecido, le dice que el no podría haberla hecho acceder a la caja fuerte incluso si quisiera. Luego el llama a sus hombres para capturar a Daphne pero ella los aparta rápidamente y llega a Yoji, quien le dice que solo un Nakamura puede acceder a la caja fuerte debido a los bloqueos biométricos que posee. Luego, Daphne huye de la oficina de Yoji, llegando al techo del edificio, y luego saltando a otro edificio.
Dos semanas después, Daphne oye una noticia en la que dicen que Hiro Nakamura fue nombrado como el nuevo director de Industrias Yamagato. Momentos más tarde, Yoji le envía a Daphne un acceso a una cámara que recibe información sobre cómo acceder a la caja fuerte. Ella observa lo que recibe de la cámrara en la Estación Harajuko y sale corriendo cuando oye a Hiro y Ando hablando sobre la caja fuerte.
El Segundo Advenimiento
Luego de que Hiro abre la caja fuerte de su padre, Daphne corre hacia su oficina y le roba la mitad de una fórmula de sus manos en un abrir y cerrar de ojos. Hiro rápidamente detiene el tiempo, y, siguiendo una estela que ella dejó detrás, llega hasta ella. Ella aparenta estar congelada en el tiempo, pero cuando la estela se desvanece detrás de ella, lo mira por el rabillo del ojo, revelando que de hecho ella puede moverse, incluso con el tiempo detenido, pero sin poder usar su velocidad realzada. Daphne, confundida, le pregunta a Hiro cómo es que el está haciendo eso, preguntándole si el también es un velocista. El le explica que puede detener el tiempo, y le dice que le robó algo que le pertenece a el. Sosteniendo el papel con la mitad de la fórmula escrita en el, ella lo detiene cuando el intenta quitárselo y cuestiona la habilidad de Hiro. Cómo el no le responde nada, ella le propina un puñetazo, descongelando el tiempo justo antes de irse corriendo a máxima velocidad.
El Efecto Mariposa
Daphne vuelve a su casa para descubrir que Hiro y Ando están alli y le robaron su medalla de oro a la más veloz en sus días de colegio. Ella intenta quitársela a Hiro, pero el se teletransporta de lugar en lugar dentro del apartamento. Eventualmente ella accede a hacer un intercambio con Hiro, donde el le devolverá su medalla y ella le dará la mitad de la fórmula que le robó, diciéndole que su jefe no estará muy feliz, pero que se encontraba de camino a conseguir la segunda mitad. Entregándole la medalla a Ando para efectuar el intercambio, ella corre hacia el y cuando está a punto de agarrar su medalla, Hiro vuelve a detener el tiempo. Ella le pregunta si vale la pena sacrificar la vida de su amigo, mientras sostiene un cuchillo en el cuello de Ando, cortándolo levemente. Hiro le devuelve la medalla y Daphne se escapa tanto con la mitad de la fórmula como con su medalla.
Uno de Nosotros, Uno de Ellos
A estas alturas, Daphne comienza a molestarse con que Hiro y Ando siempre estén persiguiéndola. Ellos la han seguido a una película muda que se emitía en un cine de Berlín, Alemania. Ella les dice que está allí para obtener la segunda mitad de la fórmula, la cual será presentada en un intercambio en medio del filme. Ella intenta irse corriendo a alta velocidad, pero solo puede correr a velocidad normal como cualquier otro ser humano, debido a la habilidad del Haitiano. Sin saber de Daphne, el Haitiano también está detrás de la segunda mitad de la fórmula.
Una vez dentro del cine, los tres esperan el momento justo para robar la fórmula. Mientras lo hacen, Daphne le pregunta aAndo si el es solo un "amigo disfrazado". Hiro le dice a su amigo que no la escuche. El Haitiano pone la otra mitad de la fórmula lejos, en un maletín, y Hiro y Ando casi la roban exitosamente, ya que Daphne velozmente cambia sus palomitas de maíz por la fórmula en un abrir y cerrar de ojos.
Ángeles y Monstruos
Daphne habla con Linderman, quien le pregunta su opinión sobre reclutar gente para Pinehearst. Ella acuerda que lo ayudará siempre y cuando le paguen. El le muestra algunas carpetas que contienen información sobre Knox y Mohinder, dos objetivos para el reclutamiento. Apuntando que no quiere ensuciarse las manos debido al hecho de que ellos son personas peligrosas, Linderman la convence diciéndole que ellos se han descarriado de su camino. Mas tarde, Daphne, ahora trabajando con Knox, encuentra a Hiro y a Ando en un bar abandonado. Ella le dice a Hiro que está considerando reclutarlo, pero que antes el debe probar su valía. Ella queda sorprendida cuando Knox le dice a Hiro que apuñale a Ando, pero se queda allí mientras Hiro lo hace para demostrar que es un "tipo duro". Daphne entonces va a encontrarse con Linderman en el parque interno del edificio de Pinehearst, donde ella recibe instrucciones de ser cautelosa al encontrar su siguiente objetivo: Matt Parkman. Antes de irse, Daphne despeja sus sospechas sobre Linderman. Daphne le asigna al nuevo miembro de la Compañía Pinehearst, Hiro, que capture a Usutu en África. En el aeropuerto JFK, Maury Parkman (como Linderman) instruye a Daphne a recluir a Matt Parkman. Matt y Daphne discuten la información que ella sabe de su expediente y la información que el se enteró de su visión del futuro. Daphne se va e intenta reclutar a Sylar en Nivel 5, y exitosamente recluta a Flint. Daphne entonces intenta reclutar a Mohinder en su laboratorio, y escapa por poco luego de descubrir la sala trasera del laboratorio donde estaban las víctimas-capullo. Daphne regresa con Matt al aeropuerto JFK y le dice que el no encajaría en Pinehearst. Matt intenta convencer a Daphne para que deje Pinehearst, pero ella se rehúsa a aceptar su oferta de protección. Daphne está presente en el Edificio Pinehearst (con Maury, Knox, y Flint) cuando Arthur roba las habilidades de Peter.
Novela gráfica:Sum Quod Sum, Parte 1
Daphne está en Londres esperando reclutar a Elle Bishop para unirse a Pinehearst. Ella sigue a Elle a un tren subterráneo, le da una tarjeta de Pinehearst y se va corriendo.
Eris Quod Sum
Arthur envía a Daphne nuevamente con Matt para reclutarlo para la Compañía Pinehearst. Knox la sigue, y cuando el oye a Matt y a Daphne hablando sobre ir a La Compañía, entra a la habitación y los asesina a ambos luego de un enfrentamiento con Matt. Luego de que Knox se va, Matt y Daphne regresan a la habitación, revelándo que Knox solo los asesinó en una ilusión que Matt creó telepáticamente. Está Llegando
Daphne accompanies Matt to Primatech Research to seek help in stopping Arthur. Daphne enters the room after Matt has discovered Angela in a comatose state, she then tells Matt that she will find a nurse but instead runs to Pinehearst to update Arthur with the recent events. Daphne asks Arthur if he did that to his wife and what should she do if Matt tries to help her. As Daphne returns to Primatech, Matt tells her that he will try to help her by using his telepathy to get inside her head. As Matt enters a trance like state she asks if he can hear her, but he does not reply. After seeing Matt in discomfort she notices that he is bleeding and attempts to wake him. Realizing that her attempts are futile she tells Matt to let her in, grabbing his hand, she is then pulled into the telepathic prison which holds Angela. Matt immediately tells her to "get away" believing that she stabbed him until he realizes that it was Arthur. Arthur then informs Matt of Daphne's treachery, to which she immediately confesses and tells him of her confusion of who to trust and also the love she has for him.
The Eclipse, Part 1
Feeling guilty over her constant betrayals, Daphne asks Matt if he trusts her. She detects his hesitation to answer and, offended, returns to her home, a corn farm in Kansas where she lives with her father. Her father asks her what she had been doing in her time away from home, but she refuses to answer. She also asks if he still has "them". When Matt tries to talk to her, she refuses to see him and her father orders him to leave. Later, after her father leaves in a truck, Daphne allows Matt to enter. She greets him while walking on crutches and tells Matt that she did not want him to see her that way, implying that she could not walk before the eclipse gave her her ability.
Graphic Novel:The Caged Bird, Part 1
While Daphne is sitting outside her home, she looks back on the life she has lead, from when she was a child to when the eclipse happened.
When Daphne is around three years old, she is walking in the cornfield with her mother while holding the medal her mother won in high school. People are constantly telling Daphne that she will be like her mother when she grows up, but those dream shatter when she is diagnosed with cerebral palsy, which makes it impossible for her to walk without crutches.
Twenty four years after she is diagnosed, Daphne's mother is trying to convince her daughter that there is still a chance for her to walk again, but Daphne refuse to listen. Soon after, Daphne's mother is told she has cancer and that she only has a few weeks to live.
Daphne did not make things easier for her mother and on the day that her mother dies, Daphne gets into an argument with her. Eventually, Daphne is sent to her room by her father. The next time that Daphne sees her mother, she is dead in her father's arms.
On the day of the funeral, Daphne gets frustrated by the people around her and decides to leave. Her father tries to stop, but it has no affect. A few feet away from the house, Daphne falls and is then visited her mother. Her mother tells Daphne that she is special and that she should stand up and leave this cage. Daphne listens to her and realize that she no longer needs her crutches. She then runs off.
Four hours later, Daphne returns home to her father. He ask where she has been but she doesn't answer his question. Instead she tells her father to turn around. When her father does turn around, he sees that Daphne is able to stand on her own. Moments later, he embraces her and tell her that he wishes that her mother was able to see this. They are soon interrupted by a knock on the door and Daphne's father goes to answer it. The man at the door tells Daphne's father that he was at the funeral earlier and offers his condolences. He then tells him that he is there to talk about his daughter.
The Eclipse, Part 2
Matt asks Daphne what is going on and what are those, in reference to her crutches. Daphne responses by saying that they are leg braces and that she needs them when she doesn't have her ability because she has cerebral palsy. Matt expresses his disbelief by stating that she is "the fastest person in the world" and Daphne goes on to explain how she was cured when the last eclipse occurred. She ends her explanation by stating that if he doesn't believe her then he should use his powers to read her mind. Matt then goes on to explain how he is unable to read her mind because he lost his ability as well. Upon hearing this, Daphne tells Matt that she thinks that Arthur took away their powers. She is refuted by Matt, who tells her that they don't know why they lost their abilities. Daphne then goes on to say that she deserves what happened to her, but Matt disagrees. Soon after, Mr. Millbrook return and ask if everything alright. Daphne responds by saying everything is fine and that Matt was just leaving.
When the eclipse is over, Matt returns to the Millbrooks' farm looking for Daphne. Eventually, he finds her in the cornfield using his ability. He tells her that he thought she would have left already considering that her ability returned. Daphne says that she came to talk to Ray, a scarecrow she made when she was thirteen. She explains that the scarecrow was created to save the crop and ends her explanation by saying that Ray saved the field. Matt tells Daphne that she saved the field, not the scarecrow. He then goes on to tell her that he understands why she did what she did and that she is a good person when it counts. Daphne then asks if he forgives her, and he tells her that he is not the one that she needs to ask forgiveness from and that she came back for a reason. Convinced by Matt's statement, Daphne goes back to the house and embraces her father.
Later on, Matt and Daphne go to Sam's Comics and discover that Hiro left to parts unknown. Matt suggests that they look in the comic book but is told that there are no more issue. However, Sam tells them that on the day that Isaac died, he gave his last 9th Wonders! story and sketchbook to a bike messenger.
Graphic Novel: The Caged Bird, Part 2
Daphne is in her kitchen talking with Thompson. He tries to convince her to come with him, but she refuses. Her father, noticing how bad things are getting, tells Thompson that he would like to speak with his daughter alone and that it might be better if he came back in the morning. Mr. Millbrook tries to convince his daughter that to take Thompson offer, especially since it is unknown why she can suddenly walk. Daphne does not want to hear it and tells her father that she wishes he was the one that died. In the morning, Daphne leaves the house.
Three months later Daphne has traveled the world and ends up in Paris, France. As soon as she arrives, she call her father. He tries to convince her to come home, but is unsuccessful. Daphne eventually tries to find work, but to no avail. She eventually ends up living among the homeless and stealing to get food.
Two weeks after she has arrived to Paris, she meets Samir. After talking with him for awhile, she is given a job that pays well and allows her to live in an apartment. However, this arrangement does not last long.
Nine months later, Daphne has returned to her home in Kansas. She is able to reconcile with her father before once again leaving.
Our Father
Daphne transports Matt and Ando to Manhattan where they visit the bike messenger service and talk to the dispatcher. Matt soon determines the man is lying and he goes to get the sketches. Ando wonders why Daphne is helping Hiro and she says she feels responsible. Matt says she's helping because she's a good person. When Matt spots the dispatcher bicycling away, Daphne gives pursuit and easily blocks the man, whose bike goes out of control. he gives them Isaac's sketches and they examine them. Daphne believes the first sketch, showing Hiro lost in time, is a promotional sketch. When they see the sketch of Hiro trapped in the past, both she and Matt believe that Arthur's formula could work to their advantage if they can find someone who has acquired space-time manipulation powers as the result of taking the formula and have them go back and rescue Hiro from 1991.
Dual
She, Matt and Ando travel to Mohinder's lab to get the formula from him, but he isn't there. Daphne, knowing where to get the formula, travels to Pinehearst and steals a syringe of it from Mohinder as he prepares to inject himself. She takes it to Ando who injects himself and faints. When he wakes up, he tries to time-travel but is unsuccessful, but his new ability is displayed when Matt touches him and hears the thoughts of everyone in Manhattan and when Daphne touches him and travels back in time a few seconds. Realizing that Ando's new ability is to super-charge others powers and that using it on Daphne allows her to run past the speed of light and thus time travel, Daphne takes Ando, super-charging her powers, with her and they travel to the past. The two rescue Hiro just as Kaito is about to kill him and bring him back to the present. Daphne then takes Hiro to Pinehearst where he knocks out Tracy and retrieves the formula. Daphne takes him back to the lab where he then destroys the formula.
