Hana Gitelman's first mission is to infiltrate the secret Tanzanian microbiology lab where Dr. Henry Strauss is working on a process to alter bacterial DNA. Apparently, he has discovered a way to induce a mutation to convert harmless stomach microbes into deadly killers, and he has chosen to sell his research on the black market.

Hana's mission is to secretly tap the data transmission and forward the formula to Mr. Bennet. She is successful, but is captured outside of the laboratory.
