Dead?

Should he, the skinny guy, and the large guy, be marked as dead? The entire group was killed by Thompson Jr. and Wildman.--Ratclaws 16:18, 17 September 2009 (EDT)

  • Well, apparently John escaped the attack due to his ability (see below). I'm not sure if he was able to save the skinny guy or large guy, though. For now, I'd have those two listed as dead as they would be dead until John goes back in time and saves them.--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:50, 19 December 2009 (EST)
    • Also he appears in Slow Burn and the others died in Faction Zero -- Leckie -- Talk 16:37, 19 December 2009 (EST)
      • Thanks guys, but I wrote that back in September right after Wildman (supposedly) killed the entire group. Nice to finally get a response though :)--Ratclaws 16:46, 19 December 2009 (EST)

Mulligan

How is it known that he is Mulligan? Plus, does that mean his ability is time reversal? I remember that in Faction Zero, Rachel could look on a computer that listed the members of Wildman's group abilities, and that someone had time reversal (or something close to that).--Ratclaws 17:58, 18 December 2009 (EST)

  • This was revealed by a combination of an event message in the Heroes: Survival game and a message in 9th Wonders. I just added the relevant info./sources to John's page, so you should be able to see why now that I had added that nickname. As for the ability name, it's explicitly listed as 'temporal rewind' on Mulligan's HSG page so I think that's what we should use.--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:45, 19 December 2009 (EST)
    • Ok, cool. So do we need a page for temporal rewind? Or maybe we should wait, as it seems like John will be appearing some more based on what Zach said.--Ratclaws 13:12, 19 December 2009 (EST)
      • Well, we don't have an image yet, but other than that I don't see any reason to wait. Since it's now a confirmed character by Zach Wilson, I think we can go ahead and add a 'temporal rewind' page.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:41, 19 December 2009 (EST)
        • So an ability page for Temporal rewind needs to be made? -- Leckie -- Talk 15:51, 19 December 2009 (EST)
          • It should probably be made, imho, since we have Zach's confirmation and the bio gives a description of the power and examples. We could just add the info. and a redirect to Mulligan's page for now; but I think it's kind of like the ability, empathic manipulation, whose info. we first got from Habbo. When we first added that ability, all the examples we had for it came from Syn Anders's bio, but they were examples, nonetheless.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:26, 19 December 2009 (EST)
            • I have made it here :) -- Leckie -- Talk 16:30, 19 December 2009 (EST)
  • I don't think his last name is Mulligan. According to the Heroes: Survivial profile, it's just a nickname.
    • That's what I thought too, at first. But Ryan confirmed with iStory writer Zach Wilson about the character, and he noted it was a last name, not a nickname.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:37, 19 December 2009 (EST)
      • Yeah, that comes directly from Zach....Why did we make a page for the temporal rewind ability? Has it been demonstrated? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:48, 19 December 2009 (EST)
        • Yes, in Mulligan's bio. Similar case to what we did for Syn Anders's ability of empathic manipulation. I'll see about adding the examples.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:02, 19 December 2009 (EST)
          • And if that's not enough, there's no need to delete it, we had a couple of ability pages like that made in the past, it's easier if we archive it in someone's namespace, there are two of these pages under mine (memory theft and silicon manipulation), this way, if they do show the ability, all we need is to move the page back. Are we sure.....

...that his ability is "Temporal rewind"? I've just read Part 3 of Faction Zero through again, and the way it describes him, it makes him sound like a metal mimic -- Leckie -- Talk 16:15, 19 December 2009 (EST)

  • The large guy is a metal mimic. If you take the option to go into the closet in Wildman's faction house, you find a computer, which mentions that someone in the group has Temporal rewind. I'd say that Zach has been planing on him having it for a while now.--Ratclaws 16:20, 19 December 2009 (EST)
    • Ok, thanks for clearing that up :) -- Leckie -- Talk 16:28, 19 December 2009 (EST)

Prince of Persia

Was the time rewind mechanic of the Prince of Persia games actually referred by a writer or character? Otherwise I think it's just trivia that really doesn't belong here. I mean, seriously, there's a lot of games in which you can rewind time if you make a mistake.--Referos 09:19, 6 January 2010 (EST)

  • Prince of Persia basically revolved around the concept though. However, it probably doesn't belong.--PJDEP - Need further explanation? 16:09, 6 January 2010 (EST)
    • And so does Braid or TimeShift. Does anyone oppose removing that note until Prince of Persia is actually referenced?--Referos 09:27, 7 January 2010 (EST)
      • It should be removed. Zach Wilson created this character many years ago. I'm not sure when the ability came about, but unless the ability is a reference to the movie or games, it should probably be removed. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:42, 7 January 2010 (EST)
