Theodore Sprague is taken to FBI Headquarters to be interrogated by Matt Parkman and Audrey Hanson. Later, she calls Matt to inform him that Ted escaped. Behind her, a car burns.

Surrounded by a seemingly insurmountable military presence, Ted is sprayed with liquid concrete at Thompson's behest. The substance hardens, trapping Ted. He uses his powers to burst through the concrete and escape. He kills at least three men in the process, though the leader seems to escape.

Matt goes to Ted's cell and lets Ted out. Still trapped in Primatech, Matt telepathically reads Mr. Bennet's mind. Mr. Bennet instructs Ted to make create an electromagnetic pulse using his power in a clean, bright way, rather than using hot radiation. Ted does this and then escapes with those who aided him; they all head to the Burnt Toast Diner to plan their next steps.
