The Genesis files are a series of research files compiled by Chandra Suresh on the emergence of unusual genetic powers in certain individuals which Mohinder Suresh discovered in his father's apartment in Madras, India and brought with him to New York.

Genesis
As Mohinder searches Chandra's apartment in Madras, India, he discovers the files. The files contain information on, among other things, regeneration, teleportation, and radiation poisoning. They also appears to contain information about Sylar.
Shortly after discovering the files, Mohinder overhears a man talking in the next room. Mohinder hastily gathers up the files and takes them with him to New York City.
Seven Minutes to Midnight
Mohinder returns to India for his father's funeral. He brings a box of his father's research with him, including the Genesis files and the journal. He briefly flips through the file folders.
Notes
- It is unknown what power Chandra references in his "Dynamic Camouflage" folder. However, some have postulated that it might refer to either invisibility or illusion.
